Safety and Privacy on Chatta

What "private" means here

A conversation on Chatta has exactly two people in it: you and the woman you matched with. It is not a livestream, not a room with a viewer count, and not a stage with a tip bar. Nobody can join, watch or scroll past.

That is the whole design, not a setting you switch on. There is no public mode to fall into by accident.

Moderation

Live video on Chatta is moderated around the clock. Accounts that break the rules — harassment, anyone under age, recording without consent, ignoring a no — are removed. Reports are reviewed by people, not filed away.

Moderation is there to back you up, not to replace your own judgement. If a conversation feels wrong, you do not need a reason to leave it.

One tap to leave

Ending a chat is one tap, with no confirmation screen designed to slow you down. The same is true on her side. Report and block sit next to the end button, so you never have to go looking for them mid-conversation.

When you end a call, the spending ends with it. Nothing keeps running in the background, and there is no app left on your phone: closing the tab is the whole exit.

Adults only

Chatta is an 18+ service. Everyone on the other side of a call is an adult who chose to be there. Anyone under age is removed, and so is anyone who tries to bring one in.

What you share, and what you don't

Before you start: nothing. Opening Chatta and tapping Start does not ask for your name, your email or a card. You decide later whether an account is worth having (it matters for topping up coins, saving contacts and editing a profile).

When a call begins: your browser asks for camera and microphone permission. It asks at that moment, not when the page loads, and you can decline. If you would rather not be on camera, voice matching asks for the microphone only and text matching asks for nothing at all.

During a chat: what you say and show is up to you. Recording the other person without consent is against the rules and gets accounts removed, and the same protection applies to you.

Meeting someone new on video

Most of this is common sense, but it is worth writing down once.

• Keep personal details out of the chat. Full name, address, workplace, phone number, and anything that identifies where you live.
• Never share payment details. Coins are bought inside Chatta; nobody on a call needs your card, a gift card code or a transfer.
• Be careful with links. Anything that asks you to leave Chatta to "continue" somewhere else is a reason to end the call.
• Leave if it feels off. You do not owe anyone an explanation. One tap ends it.
• Assume the camera shows your room. Mail, screens and anything with your name on it can be read through video.

Reporting

Tap Report during or right after a chat. Tell us what happened in a sentence; you do not need proof. Block stops the same person reaching you again. If something concerns you outside a call, the in-app contact options reach the same team.
